Drawn to music as a young child, Matt was blessed with a Grandfather who put a very inexpensive (cheap), guitar into his hands at age 6. After taking group guitar lessons and challenging his mom by threatening to play drums, Matt's mom got him private lessons that lasted throughout his teen years.
After sensing that God had a calling on his life, Matt dedicated his life to Jesus Christ at the tender age of 19 and began his performance journey with a Christian Band. After years and years of working with many different musicians, Matt has been called by God to lead worship at his local church, Dallas Foursquare. It is a Christ-centered church body with a former Youth Pastor, Darrin Hausler, as its Senior Leader.
Matt's favorite times are traveling with his beautiful wife Carolyn and visiting with his adult sons, Tyler and Jonathan. He and Carolyn also enjoy spending time with their adopted Granddaughter, Hennessy and the newest addition, Granddaughter Serenity Rose.
